DONATIONS
"When you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you."
Our parish offers several opportunities to give alms:
- Clothes for the needy may be dropped in the container in the Upper Church Parking Lot.
- Food for the needy may be dropped at the Parish Office or before the statue of Mary in the Upper Church or Lower Church.
- Money may be donated through our offertory envelope system, directly to the Parish Operating Fund, or the School Trust Fund.
- Store gift certificates for Town Plot IGA, ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Big Y, and Filene's may be bought at the Parish Office. 5% of your face value certificate and 10% from Filene's are donated back to our School.
- Collections at weekend liturgies, Mass and Candle Intentions for memorials of the dearly departed, for the sick and ill, in honor of a Saint, or a variety of other petitions.
- You are also invited to memorialize a recently deceased loved one through a monetary gift to our parish in lieu of flowers at the wake/funeral.
We now accept Mastercard, Visa, and ATM cards for your convenience and to help add to any bonus or point programs you may be enrolled in.
SACRAMENTS - The sacraments are a gift to us from our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a privilege to accept and prepare ourselves for reception. Each Sacrament has a program of instruction and updating in our faith. Please call the rectory for further information.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (R.C.I.A.) - Offers to all the opportunity to find Jesus. The R.C.I.A. was established as the Church's official process to prepare candidates for introduction and entrance into the Church. The program is intended for those unbaptized adults and those baptized in a non-Roman Christian Church; e.g. Protestant, Anglican, Orthodox, Non-denominational, and anyone seeking full communion with the Roman Catholic church.
Please contact Sr. Georgia at the Parish Office if you or someone you know is interested in this process. We welcome all inquires.
PLEASE NOTE - Our Church is air conditioned and handicapped accessible from the America Street entrance. We are also available to offer Holy Communion to the homebound, sick, and elderly. Families and parishioners new to the parish are asked to please register with the Parish Office.
